Mallam Aminu Kano International is the oldest airport in Nigeria, in operation since 1936, run by the Federal Airports Authority. Runway 06/24 carries civilian traffic while 05/23 mainly serves the air force base on the south side. The authority describes only an international and a domestic terminal — no private or general-aviation terminal is published, despite the name previously carried by this record.
