Cochstedt — General Aviation
No dedicated FBO is currently listed at Magdeburg-Cochstedt Airport (EDBC / CSO), which the DLR bought and now runs as Germany's national test centre for unmanned aircraft through its subsidiary Flughafen Magdeburg-Cochstedt Betriebsgesellschaft. The airport has been open again regularly since 6 May 2022, but take-offs and landings are limited to visual flight rules and to aircraft up to 14 tonnes, which rules out midsize and heavy business jets. Runway 07/25 is 2,500 by 45 m asphalt and Jet A-1 is available from Air BP. Movements outside opening hours require a PPR application submitted 48 hours in advance.
